One of the things I love about where we live is the connection we have to nature. Mother Nature is so bountiful and majestic on Salt Spring Island. I love it here! It turns out Netflix has some great choices to celebrate enjoying nature. Here are some great choices for when you want to stay inside, but enjoy the fun out the great outdoors:
The Great Outdoors
What can I say? John Candy is a genius and no childhood is complete without watching “that Bear scene.” Seriously, watch it with your kids, it’s a blast of nostalgia and joy. While nature should be cherished, it doesn’t mean we have to take everything so seriously. Have some fun in the name of nature!
We recently went to Tofino, which is like the surfing capital of Vancouver Island. There weren’t any penguins on our trip, and we didn’t surf, but these penguins certainly make it look easy (and fun!) Surfing is a great way to enjoy the great outdoors and the ocean, and Surf’s Up is a great way to enjoy Netflix.
RVing is a fun way to take your family time outdoors to the next level of comfort without sacrificing togetherness. This movie featuring the late, great Robin Williams highlights the joy of spending time with family, a principal part of our “why.”
A Walk In The Woods
Robert Redford and Nick Nolte team up for a long walk together as best friends. The wonder of the Appalachian trail comes to your living room thanks to Netflix. Enjoy!
However you choose to enjoy the great outdoors from the comfort of indoors, Netflix has you covered. Which movie will you choose?
