I talked about how I wanted to write a book (yes, yes, I know: who doesn’t!)
I talked about how I wanted to travel more, and keep writing this blog (seems simple, but I have a really short attention span!)
And I shared that there was a piece of my past I was missing a little bit, and would like to revisit one day.
See, for (eek) 15 years I worked in the fitness industry. I loved (and hated) it. I had re certified and tried to get “back in” but it just didn’t fit my lifestyle at the time (there was no way I was going to be teaching classes over the dinner hour) It has always been on the bucket list of things to go back to.
Being at everyWOMAN last weekend helped to solidify my feelings. It reminded me that I love teaching, love music and live to inspire.
It was on the list . . . but not for today, or even this year. It was on the “one day” list.
And then I finally got my buns off the couch (and away from the laptop) with fears of my flabby butt gracing the pages of FB while we are in St. Lucia. I popped into the local fitness center in my attempts to attend a spin class.
Class was full (what a relief) but. . . they are looking for new instructors.
I will put in my resume. I will take this little offering that the universe has possibly thrown my way. The timing wasn’t what I was expecting, but by keeping my eyes open, maybe I will get what I really need, not just what I “think” I need.
I don’t know why things like this seem to manifest themselves in my life. . . but they do. Maybe it is because I am consciously looking & responding to the things around me. Perhaps it is my “devil may care” attitude towards trying something new, despite my fears. All I know is, I have a heck of a lot of a better success rate when I say yes, instead of no!
So, I will continue to voice my dreams, share my goals and “out” my fears, in the hopes that this manifestation continues!
How about you . . . want to share some goals? Maybe my optimism and opportunity is catching?
