We know that not all humans are made the same, but the same goes for chickens. Each one is unique and special, not only in size and shape and feathers, but also in personality.
Meet Pepper.
Now, Pepper has the misfortune to be a mixture of TWO extraordinary hilarious chicken breeds. As a naked neck frizzle chicken, she sports the “flipped up”feathers of the frizzle, with the gloriously naked neck. She is called a “Showgirl”, probably just to make her feel better about her looks though.
Pepper is being raised with a flock of silkies and frizzles, so I don’t think she is actually aware of her strange looks at this time. I am interested to see what our roosters think of her when she gets to maturity though.
And despite having a bit of an attitude with the younger chicks, she is a friendly enough sort of bird, even though she LOOKS like a little baby vulture.

Hi,
I’m located in Perth Western Australia, and also have 1 Naked Neck Frizzle her name Cyndi Lauper.
I would love more I love them. Do you or do you know of a breeder who will sell me Fertilised eggs, and Post them?
Thanks so much
Simone
Hi Simone!
I have the same predicament. I actually have two naked necked chickens named Jason and Derulo. Fat Hen Farms in Connecticut is where we acquired our lovely broods. I think they sell fertilized eggs except you would need to fly to Northeastern America. They also have quails and emus in addition to the naked necked chickens. I know it’s a long way but if you are truly as committed to your chickens as you said (and as I am) the trip is worth it.
Hope you find a cheap flight!
