Our kids LOVE making iced sugar cookies. The cookie cutters, the decorating, the whole thing is a tasty craft project (that means TONNES of mom time)
But what to do with that glob of over rolled, too small for the cookie cutter, sugar cookie dough?
We had great fun rolling the dough into little balls and then using our thumb to imprint a little dent in the cookies.
Fill the dent with chocolate chips and voilà- tasty treats that the kids devoured!
in fact, they ate these ones before the other iced sugar cookies, so maybe we are onto something that is a whole lot easier and just as tasty! (and saves mom’s time, and that crazy kitchen mess)
